One Parish, Two Churches

Saint Junipero Serra Parish began on July 1, 2018 as a union of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church in Seaside Heights and Saint Catharine of Siena Church in Seaside Park. We are one united diverse parish with the good fortune of having two churches on two different campuses. We are a Catholic Church in the Roman/Latin Rite in full-communion with the Bishop of the Diocese of Trenton and the Pope of the Holy See. The Order of Friars Minor Conventual, Our Lady of the Angels Province, serves our parish.

Mission Statement

Saint Junipero Serra Parish is a Christian community in the Roman Catholic Church. Living the joy of the Gospel and nurtured in the Franciscan traditions of charity and humility, we are one united parish. As a bilingual and multi-cultural parish, we work together in our common love of God and our common love of neighbor. As missionary disciples of Jesus Christ, empowered by the Holy Spirit, we serve others with compassion and mercy.  Nourished by God’s Word and Sacraments, we seek to mirror God’s love in the world by serving our sisters and brothers in need, by reverencing the dignity of every human person and by pursuing the common good for all of God’s children and God’s creation.
